CENTII Project #1

The Portland Inclusive Innovation Initiative

With funding from the Meyer Memorial Trust, the Center’s Portland Inclusive Innovation Initiative (PDXIII) is cataloguing and assessing the impact of digital interventions in historically marginalized communities during and as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

To make the case for digital equity and promote inclusive innovation, it is critical to understand the present circumstances. From there, we can make the case for future investments in digital technology in the Portland Metropolitan Area.

Our project has the following goals:

  1. Gather information on technology deployments launched in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

  2. Determine where technology deployments occurred in the Portland metro area.

  3. Identify the purpose and who was involved with these deployments.

  4. Assess the efficacy of digital technology interventions and the duration of their deployments.
